As I sit down to write this blog post, the memories flood back to me. The laughter, the tears, the embraces - all captured in the photographs I have taken over the years. It's a bittersweet feeling, knowing that as children grow older and families move away, those moments become more infrequent. But when we do come together, it is even more important to capture those precious moments of togetherness.

The love shared between the parents was evident in every look, every smile and every touch. Their admiration for one another was palpable and it set the tone for the entire session.

A family who books in for their photographs every year, this is how we record growth and show what each season looks like. I have captured each child as a newborn and love watching them grow, now I ensure I get each child’s individual portrait and I always imagine them printed big and hung in their home framed next to each other.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous newborn baby and her family in their home. In-home newborn photography sessions always remind me of the comfort it can bring the family, not having to leave in such a delicate time of healing and bonding, the fourth trimester! It also makes me beyond happy knowing that there is going to be an extra special layer of memories in their photos, their baby’s first home!

Choosing a location that suits your family, allows your children to be themselves and have fun is so important! This Australian bush location has a few mosquitoes but light is dreamy and you get a kangaroo sighting guarantee!

Having a holiday with your family, all together, in iconic Noosa Heads. That’s something that is worth capturing, beautifully, naturally and artful. I loved this fun filled, dreamy session with beach sunset and pandanus green backdrops. Extended family photos are really something special!
