Samford Newborn Photographer

When I recently donated a session to my gym in Samford, Hardware Junction (yes guys, I like a bit of CrossFit okay, don’t judge!) for a fundraising event, I was so stoked to learn that a couple from my fellow six am crew won the silent auction. I knew Mel was expecting her first baby boy any day soon and I was so excited to lead them through my simple process to a session that suited them in their newborn phase perfectly.

Mel and Chris booked a date in with me for approximately three weeks after the due date upon my advice. This gave them enough time to have started to find as much routine as you may find in these early days and still allow me to photograph those curly, sleepy newborn photos. I reminded them that if something unexpected came up in the lead up to the session my rebooking process is easy and sessions are always flexible. I also gave plenty of dates to easily accommodate their blended family so that older brother, Harvey, was with them to be included in the photos.

I provided styling assistance and wardrobe options to make sure Mel didn’t have to worry about what to wear for her, or new baby Ezra and the photos had a beautiful warm, clean and timeless look as a result. Just what Mel was after.

I am so excited to share this gallery with them today. Every time I deliver a newborn gallery, I’m taken back to a time when I wasn’t organised for much after the birth and then too sick to think about organising a shoot like this.
