The Monthly Meet

ONE SUNDAY EVERY MONTH 11AM-2pm (unless informed otherwise)

Three hours one Sunday every month in the bliss of the Samford Lifestyle Centre.

An hour talk discussing a feature of your camera, a photography technique or a creative aspect of the talk to inspire that next step in your journey.

Share a plate lunch with cold drinks provided, opportunity for discussion and questions.

Practical photography or editing activity ranging from working on your own, with a partner or with Belinda as a group..

    Introduction to the editing panel in Lightroom. What each slider achieved in your photograph.

    INTERACTIVE - submit a single RAW image to Belinda prior and she will edit your photo live.

    Belinda’s Samford Studio

    Working with your subjects for relaxed and connected photographs.

    Afternoon tea provided.

    Afternoon in the field photographing and engaging with subjects together. We will review light and composition whilst creating photos.

    MEMBER CHALLENGE - choose someone close to you that you’d love to photograph. Think about how you can make them feel comfortable and connect with them. Try and choose someone other than your child/ren. Share a photo in the Facebook group and let us know how it went for feedback from Belinda.

 FAQs

  • This course is designed to teach you to use an SLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode. If your camera has a manual mode you’re in! Any questions, email me before booking belinda@belindadorman.com .

  • The first hour I will give a talk on a relevant photography topic catering to the levels within the room. There will be opportunity for discussion, sharing and questions.

    We will share a finger food lunch and continue conversation, the Sunday Collective is as much about carving out time for us and our interests as it is what we learn.

    The last 90 minutes will be a creative activity often designed to implement the learnings from the talk.

  • This course is going to address all of the above, welcome! I will be teaching manual camera control with the beginner in mind and pass on all my tips and tricks for working with the most difficult of children.

  • The Keepsake Collective membership fee is non-refundable.

    With due notice, a Sunday Collective fee can be transferred to another date.
