Family Photos on a Camping Weekend
When this family suggested their next photoshoot take place on a camping trip with a beloved vintage caravan that had travelled Australia and featured in their own engagement photos, I was immediately on board. What followed was an autumn adventure in the Gold Coast Hinterland complete with rain showers, paragliders, marshmallows by the fire, a full moon rising over camp and even a dawn platypus watch. By staying the night, I was able to take more than lifestyle portraits, but document the rhythm of a family trip as it unfolded. As someone who spends much of my own free time camping with my children, these are the kinds of stories that feel deeply worth preserving, the ordinary adventures that become part of your legacy.
Life, Captured Differently
An experience in itself, having a family film made may be quite different to what you expect. I’ll spend a morning or afternoon with your family at your home or a special destination. Prior to your session we will loosely plan activities that you regularly enjoy together to really capture the parts of your lives right now that you want to remember forever.
No directing, no takes, pure utter authentic moments. Whilst enjoying your family’s company, I will observe and film, later crafting your unique film that will be set to licensed music, chosen specifically for your family.
‘The O Family’ at Home in Samford
Picture this: a sprawling acreage home nestled in the Samford Valley surrounded by the rolling hills of our beautiful area, the house is filled with laughter, love, the sound of football on the television and the smell of freshly baked chocolate cake. As a photographer, there is nothing quite like capturing the connection within a family in their own home. My time spent with 'the O family' was a truly heartwarming experience.

A special boy born to be my soul dog. Seeing me from a new graduate veterinarian and Andy and I in our first home, through to marriage and two children. My first photographic muse, my yoga companion and the first to be sent grey by the children. Fifteen special years that I have overwhelming gratitude for. We love you Kaiser aka. Grizsla aka.
